What are your hobbies outside of the kitchen? Wine tasting – visiting local farms – farmers market
Everyone remembers their first encounter with burrata. What is yours? 2 years ago atr R&D Restaurant. Burrata – heirloom tomatoes – lemon oline oil fresh herbs.If you could make dinner for one person, who would it be? My Wife Syrias Metzger. She is such an amazing woman who has stood by my side for so many years and I never spend enough time with her.
What is your favorite dish to cook and why?
Local seafood and farmers vegetable. I love the bright colors and supporting local vendors.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Chef of the decade 2016 San Diego.
If you could give a piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Learning the art of being patient.
